The study proposes the organising of a permanent exhibition
that demonstrates for the very first time
North Euboea’s antiquites to the public.
The exhibition will be developed at the first floor
of a neoclassical building donated for this exact purpose
by the Ministry of Culture.
The exhibition design aims at re-creating ,
in an abstract way, a sense of the island’s
northern part geography.
Ancient cities and renown archaeological sites
are accurately placed on maps
in reference to their exact coordinates.
Each site is represented by a few artefacts,
mainly hellenistic sculpture
and supplementary information,
graphicly designed by the team.
This little “island” that one reconstructs
in the exhibition hall,
includes within it a small flexible space
suitable for projections and lectures,
as well as a small room for younger audience activities
and temporary exhibitions.
