2022 marked the centenary, uninterrupted operation
of the biscuit and food manufacturing company E.J. Papadopoulos S.A.
The exhibition organized at the Benaki Museum, Peiraios,
from December 2021 to February 2022, aimed to honor this anniversary
and seeked to foreground the ingredients of this hundred-year long success,
highlighting all of its aspects:
its history, how its products are made, the importance of its brand.
It is a story that unfolds and can be viewed in parallel with the history of Greece,
as well as the individual stories of the Company’s people
who struggle daily so we can savour something as simple as a biscuit.
The story told was of the Papadopoulos family,
who for a century have persistently held the reins of this Greek industry;
an industry characterized by quality products
and a worldwide distribution network.
Through a route of 1000 sq. m. and 10 consecutive units,
the exhibition narrative introduced visitors to a multi – sensory journey
among 300 exhibits, rich audiovisual material and many interactive stations
which took them to an emotional escalation of their experiential visit.
